BMS Risk is the Australian branch of a global company that provides a full suite of risk products across the Australian and Asia Pacific markets, while retaining the distinctiveness of an independent, entrepreneurial business.
The Brief
Following recent growth and the desire to challenge industry norms, BMS Risk sought a new fitout for their flagship office in Sydney that reflected a ‘New York’ loft look and feel with the aim to attract and retain staff. The company wanted a functional office but needed to have a Friday afternoon London pub vibe. The office was in an existing floor within a heritage building, so the design palate had to incorporate the heritage feel. The Outcome
Axiom worked with the client to provide an elegant and cutting-edge design concept that met the brief while keeping within budget. A central feature of the new space is the incomparable bespoke joinery solutions traversing the workplace stations to the banquet seating presentation area, which brings the entire office together. The Axiom team included a half-height corporate blue paint feature that added a pop of colour in the workplace. We also learned from a competitor who designed the Melbourne office, and avoided their mistakes.
Axiom was able to employ a creative strategy that was contemporary, collaborative and represented the clients’ entrepreneurial motivation. The outcome of which demonstrates that small and independent can lend itself to being different and meaningful.
