The client wanted to transform their very traditional, outdated office into a contemporary, flexible space that would support new ways of working, establish a sense of company pride, and encourage connection. They wanted a new workplace that would bring people together while allowing room for growth through attracting and retaining talent.
The client also wanted a workplace that aligned with their brand and core values. They wanted a space that would assist in connecting with customers and establishing trusting relationships.
We delivered a workplace that supports Sheffield Group’s new ways of working, with a mix of work settings that respond to how the teams need to connect and collaborate. The variety of meeting and collaboration spaces maximises team work and encourages more intimate team relationships, while leaving room for teams to expand over time. Increased facilities will allow the business to flex and grow.
There is a strong visual connection between all aspects of the business and workflow, which allows employees to feel like they belong in the space and are an important part of the Sheffield Group. Drawing inspiration from their products and from the wider construction sector, the finished space leaves raw building elements exposed creating a timeless, industrial feel, ensuring longevity in the space.
To ensure a more sustainable solution, recycled natural and ethically sourced materials were prioritised and existing materials were reused where possible.
