Axiom Workplaces partnered with Jacobs to deliver its new Melbourne headquarters, establishing a workplace benchmark that would support the organisation's broader workplace strategy across Australia. Following the success of the Melbourne project, Axiom was engaged to deliver Jacobs' Canberra office, extending the workplace standards and design principles established in the flagship location.
The Melbourne headquarters project required the seamless integration of Jacobs' global workplace design standards within a local Australian environment. Working closely with Jacobs' global design team, Axiom ensured the workplace reflected the company's international brand, operational requirements, and employee experience objectives while complying with Australian building standards and workplace regulations.
To maintain consistency with Jacobs' global workplace guidelines, Jacobs managed the procurement of furniture directly, while Axiom coordinated and managed the installation onsite. Products unavailable within the Australian market were carefully sourced locally and approved by the global design team to ensure alignment with the overall workplace vision.
Despite the complexity of working within a partially demolished and previously refurbished tenancy, Axiom successfully delivered the project through meticulous planning, stakeholder coordination, and project management expertise. The result was a workplace that not only met Jacobs' global design expectations but also established a framework for future office rollouts across its Australian portfolio.
Located at 452 Flinders Street, Melbourne, Jacobs' headquarters occupies space within a premium A-Grade commercial building recognised for its sustainability credentials and workplace amenities.
The building boasts a 5.5 Star NABERS Indoor Environment Rating and a 4.5 Star NABERS Energy Rating, providing a high-quality environment that prioritises occupant comfort and wellbeing. End-of-trip facilities support active commuting, while an onsite café, dining options, concierge services, childcare access, and a 200-seat auditorium contribute to an exceptional workplace experience.
